Background: Insulin Autoimmune Syndrome is a rare condition characterized by hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemic episodes mediated by insulin autoantibodies (IAA). IAA form complexes with insulin leading to initial mild hyperglycemia and later hypoglycemia due to release of insulin.
